Re: Guitar Glen is Playing on 80's Glen Campbell show

Jay, I'll go with that, but every 335 in my experience, plus the ones I just looked at on the 'Net have one feature that the one in the vid seems to be different- the cord is plugged in to the "edge" of the lower bout instead of on the front...? Otherwise, controls, fret markers, headstock inlays, e...

Re: Guitar Glen is Playing on 80's Glen Campbell show

Can't figure out how to edit that post, but please excuse my goof. While I used the short-form "T-bird", I meant to use "T-head" for THunderhead..

Can't even blame auto-correct for it. Has to be digital interface between brain and keyboard's fault!

Apologies!

Re: Guitar Glen is Playing on 80's Glen Campbell show

Not sure what it is, but I don't think it's a T-bird. Headstock is not the "usual" Ovation headstock, and the t-birds all seem to have had a tailpiece that wraps around the end of the guitar. in the video, the bridge seems to stand alone. I was thinking it might be an Epiphone Dot -the layout and co...

Re: Glen Campbell's Gibson B25-12N Twelve String

I have a copy (my third) of "the Astounding Twelve String Guitar'' that I located about a year ago in a used record shop. My plan is to digitize it on my own using a USB turntable that I found in a local audio store for $59.00 on sale. That's one way to get a digital version (for your own use), whic...

Rare (to me) photo?

Came across this while looking around for images of a certain relic'd Stratocaster in Glen's hands. This seems to be a picture of Glen and a band rehearsing/performing in the paint department of a hardware store. (??) I've played in front of stores, and even on stages set up inside stores, but never...

Re: Wrecking Crew Guitar Picks

I found this in my collection- a "Rock and Roll Relics" Strat copy in Glen's name. Oddly I have not been able to locate a picture of Glen playing one, although the website (Rock N Roll Relics dot com) has him down as an endorser and still shows a picture of him with what could be one of their "relic...

Re: Check Out This Link

Interesting. Never run across one of these, though I have played the Rainsong carbon-fibre acoustic. It would be intriguing to play the two back to back some day.

Have to work on that.

Re: Did he ever use Marin from Australia

(ArgghhH!!! How do I post a picture?? Deep breath, Kevin..) Actually, Jay, I see both the black Tak and the 'Bird (which I seriously covet- already have a Tak like that). But there is a third instrument on the left side of the landing as well. I just tried to post a piece of the above image showing ...

Re: Did he ever use Marin from Australia

Hmmm... there is an acoustic cutaway on the landing (top left, behind the Bluebird 12str), just barely peeking out from the blue Ovation.. I don't recognise the headstock, but it doesn't look like an Ovation to me.... Wonder what it is?

Anyone aware?

Careful- it's a slippery slope. More guitars, then more stairs, then more guitars, then..
