Re: Announcing Glen Campbell's Newest DVD/CD Releases

MarySue... I think " Glen Campbell – Live Anthology 1972-2001 " Is nothing more than the cuts that you see on youtube, mixed in with other concert performances. The carrot on the stick is...where did they get those individual songs from? So I am guessing there has to be a dvd or VHS out there of tha...

Re: Glen Campbell's Mosrite Celebrity I

MIke, With the help of the internet, guitar forensics becomes pretty easy. Speaking of books...this chapter would have been incredible for guitar fans... Glen Campbell's Relationship With Semie Mosely . Sadly no one ever asked him about his Mosrite days. :-( I think we would have found that Glen "ma...

Glen Campbell's Other Mosrite Celebrity II

I had seen this picture over the years, but ignored it for some reason. It shows Glen playing a another Mosrite Celebrity, but red! And it is a Celebrity II, not a Celebrity 1. Although they look similar, several differences stand out: 1. It does not have the matching guard around lower bout knobs 2...

Re: Mac Davis (78) passed away

Mike, good to hear from you. I wore out a couple of Macs 8 tracks in the 70's...but I grew up about 100 miles from where he did and it was popular music. I got to see him a couple of times and met him once. He was a gentleman and always seemed to have a story. It was a sad day when he passed...he tr...

The Best Guitar Brands

What is the "best guitar"? This is a question that is equilvilent to any political or religious conversation. Everyone has an opinion and there is no right answer. The editor of Happy DIY Home sent me the following article: The Best Guitar Brand Glen played several of those makes ...

Re: Guitar solo at the end of TAMI finale

Tom Colt...first of all thanks for your interest in Glen and your post. Sure sounds like him...all I can offer is this: From 'Rolling With The Stones' by Bill Wyman & Richard Havers. Months later the Stones were back in America for their second tour. 'Time is on My Side' had entered the charts a cou...

Glen Campbell With a Martin 12 String

I posted here about this possibly being a guitar that belonged to Bobbie Gentry...well, maybe it was Glens! Here he is hosting the "The Summer Brothers Smothers Show" with that Martin 12 String, in June of 68!
