Re: Coon Holler Bar Where Glen Campbell Played

R egina, New Mexico is about an hours drive north of Albuquerque. If you are not looking for it, you will miss it. Along the roadway sits an abandoned house/bar/restaurant which happens to contain remnants of the original Coon Holler Bar. From what I can ascertain, the Coon Holler bar was originall...

Re: Inlay Guitars

Gil... Thanks man for jumping in here and sharing your experience with Glen. I have a couple of questions also...can you elaborate on what exactly a "preproduction guitar setup" is and why you did. I always thought that White Falcon looked iconic with the neck inlays...truly old school. And is there...

Re: Check Out This Link

Seems like the consensus is that the proto's were killer guitars, while what ended up being produced fell short. A lot changed on the way to production.

Re: Check Out This Link

It appears that Glen got one of the first Adamas "Q" prototypes! There were around half a dozen that were playable of the dozen or so that were made. The ones that finally hit production were quite a bit different than the proto's.

Re: Glen Campbell circa 2012 photo details query

"we may never know exactly how things transpired" Yep. Look at the story behind Glen's first guitar. Glen said it was a Sears guitar. Glen's dad said it was a Sears guitar. Glen's brother said it was a Sears guitar. But the only match to the tangible evidence we have of Glens 1st guitar indicates i...

"Just noticed...it looks like a black Tak on the upper left...and the black Ovation Custom Legend is missing...which Glen seemed to like."
