Re: Glen with a Finland made Espana Classical Guitar

Hey jay, Glen looks like he's doing an alternative take for the Norwood scene, before he jumps in the bath.

Re: Glen Campbell's Rickenbacker 360 12 String Guitar

Good point jay, Glen didn't use it much beyond those early years. I was thinking that as he had that six string version he still considered it a good guitar to have around. I found this video the other day Glen singing "you can't take the country from the boy. In the video glen uses a 12 string...

Re: Glen Campbell's Rickenbacker 360 12 String Guitar

Interesting you posted this item jay. I saw a programme just the other day about the development of guitars, and it made the very same point about George Harrison being given a prototype Rickenbacker when the Beatles came to America. I had not heard this before and now you have just confirmed that f...

Re: Glen Campbell's Museum in Nashville

Thanks for that jay, I must say I really admire the knowledge you bring to this forum in relation to Glen's guitar history and guitars in general. When I was a lot younger I assumed that the guitars Glen used were used for a few years and then disposed of in one way or another, but then of course as...

Re: Announcing Glen Campbell's Newest DVD/CD Releases

jay, I really feel your frustration, as I think a simple look on line would find the hardcore fans like us very easily and they could then at least ask the question, "what would you like to see on this album" ?. Sadly as Cowpoke mentions it may be just not worth their while for the commerc...

Re: Glen Campbell's Museum in Nashville

Hi Jay, Those are great pictures of the museum and Glen's guitars. I hope that these guitars are well looked after and are secure. Just a quick question, Has any mention been made of whether Glen left any of his guitars to his children, who I am sure would treasure them and could certainly play them...

Re: Announcing Glen Campbell's Newest DVD/CD Releases

It's a good list Cowpoke. But to answer your question why they didn't include more on the cd "love is the answer" :D Seriously though it does make you wonder why, It also begs the question who they considered the box set is aimed at. Normally a box set would be a fan favourite, something s...

Re: Announcing Glen Campbell's Newest DVD/CD Releases

I couldn't agree more Cowpoke, regarding you comments on the legacy set. I would also add that they could just have added an extra disc into the set and leave the live performances in, as I think it was good to hear how good Glen was in his live shows. Bobbie Gentry box set is 8 cds' so why not Glen...

Re: Rest in Peace Bill Graham

Hi Cowpoke, To be honest I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing the video. It seems to me Bill was under the radar a bit as regards his song writing abilities, that's why it was a wonderful thing to have Glen cover his work. I am sure like Jimmy he must have felt very pleased to have access to a won...
