Re: Your Stories and Memories about Glen

Robduloc, your posts read like poetry. I can tell you what I took away from that TV show, the rhythm guitar and banjo playing off each other, it's a stream, or that is at least how I felt as a child, the guitar are the big blocks of waves and the banjo are the little ripples straking over the surfac...

Re: I'm Not Gonna Miss You - Grammy Nominations

I know what you mean Randy (sorry for replying so late btw). We are all biased when it comes to Glen, naturally. Ghost on the Canvas to me is a award-worthy music video Still, I think that Band Perry video does a nice job bringing the song (and with it Glen) to the attention of younger listeners. Sa...

Re: Amarillo Civic Center Opens with Glen!

This was when Glen was really just starting to hit the big time. His Summer Smothers Brothers Show was still airing. The whole nation wanted to have Glen! Thanks for posting Jay. Great little piece of GC history.

Re: Glen & Esther Ofarim

Conny, thank you for posting about Glen and Esther. It's the first time I heard about that performance. I asked the writer of that blog about that cover version of Cindarella Rockefella by Glen and Lulu. It occured to me that Lulu was a guest on the Summer Brothers Smothers Show (and later on the Go...

Re: Say Hello to Other Members!

Hi Mark, thanks for joining this forum. Yep, you're surrounded here by people who think about Glen and his music daily. Would love to hear more about your music and how Glen has influenced you. I am not a musician myself (although I play a mean ukelele ;)) but we have a couple of Ovation players on ...

Re: Glen Campbell Swingin' 12 String Guitar album?

Hi Maheen, can you hear our replies to your posts on the forum? I hope that works. I don't have that vinyl album by The In Group (including Leon Russell and Glen) myself, but I do have all the songs on it, since they have been rereleased quite a couple of times, in digital format. That is to say, 10...

Glen's First Band

Thanks for your hint! Is it the man who wrote this song, Hal?

Was he one of The Droopy Drawers? This is really fascinating stuff!
