Cal Campbell's latest project! (Please note: This is an info share about Cal and Aaron Ruffcorn's project. It is not an "ask" from Glen Campbell Forums for you to support this project; that decision is totally up to you. Thanks and enjoy reading about Cal's amazing work in the music biz! Dee) :)

"Aftershocks" (video teaser) -- See: https://vimeo.com/124671455" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
from Favorite Shape Triangle

From this Vimeo link's description:
As the driver/singer-songwriter of Favorite Shape Triangle, I've been at this now for quite some time -- and thanks to people like you, I've had loads of wonderful opportunities and shared many adventures with many great people. That said, I've never come face to face with an opportunity quite like the one I have before me today.

In 2014, I joined forces with the inimitable Cal Campbell, a wildly experienced sound engineer out of Agoura Borealis Recording (Los Angeles, CA). Cal is not only a great sound engineer, he's a masterful producer, a talented musician, and an altogether great guy. You may have heard of his father, the legendary Glen Campbell.

Over the past year, Cal and I have spent many days in the studio together, and in witnessing his many talents firsthand -- whether it be in recording, mixing, or playing -- I've been consistently impressed with Cal's attention to detail, his efficiency, and with his passion for sound engineering and music in general. He really is a virtuoso.

The impact Cal has had on FST's sound is beyond words. Ineffable. It's been a perfect fit. Listen to our tracks, and my bet is that you'll agree. I've been incredibly pleased with the results so far.
Yes, there's a "so far" at the end of that last sentence. This is where you come in! With your help, we can take this "so far" farther. Ultimately, additional funding -- for two more weeks of studio time -- is going to be necessary to finalize this, our first studio LP; a planned ten-song album we're calling (((AFTERSHOCKS)))

Please check out our IndieGoGo campaign here: igg.me/at/fst
$5,040 will fund another couple weeks in the studio, and will allow Cal and I the time to professionally mix and master FST's ten best songs to date.
A contribution of any size will be greatly appreciated! Seriously, even a dollar. Given the opportunity, Cal and I will return your favor by providing you with ten incredibly well-crafted & uniquely amazing songs (and then there's the perks, don't forget about the perks!)

The video-teaser ... contains snippets of our first 4 preliminary demos: "At the Embassy," "Precious Cargo," "Power Up," and "Advantageous." Please note: the snippets presented here are taken from works-in-progress. Final mixing/mastering still needs to be done on these and the 6 remaining songs. Again, this is where you come in: (((AFTERSHOCKS))) can only exist with your assistance.

With your help, the Triangle will be complete!

A million thanks & all the best,

Aaron Ruffcorn

"Joy" to the World, "Orthophonic Joy", that is!
The public's response to "Orthophonic Joy" has been huge! Amazon's CD sets are on backorder now until the 17th.
Fox News gave it a shout out already!
Ashley Campbell posted on Facebook yesterday: "It's out! Buy Orthophonic Joy on iTunes today!"
A selfie campaign has spontaneously started on Twitter!

Randy and Cowpoke recently posted about how nothing can beat family harmony with regard to Glen Campbell singing with family members.

Their comments reminded me of a song (title unknown?) performed by Cal Campbell and Shannon Campbell, uploaded to YouTube in 2009. I absolutely love their sound. Please, guys, cut an album together!

Amazon.com/US now has a picture of "Orthophonic Joy / 1927 Bristol Sessions Revisited", on which Shannon and Ashley appear with other artists!
The small print at the bottom of the front CD cover states that this project benefits the birthplace of country music, Bristol, Tennessee.
(I had to look up the word, "orthophonic"; had never seen this word. It means "reproducing sounds authentically".)

Produced by the one and only Carl Jackson, “Orthophonic Joy: The 1927 Bristol Sessions Revisited" (see description and Vimeo video below) is close to a wrap and release! (Amazon.com is one of the retailers listing it for release on May 4th!)

Ashley and Shannon will be performing some songs from this project at the 2015 HoustonFest in Galax, Virginia (US) on May 1st and 2nd. In fact, 11 of the 17 artists on this project will be appearing at HoustonFest!

See: http://www.thecarrollnews.com/news/home ... nFest-2015" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and for more info about the Fest, visit: http://houstonfestgalax.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
