And this has to be one of the saddest, a new interview with Kim Campbell.

This is one of the best articles I have read about Glen.

Saying Goodbye to the First Good Ol’ Boy of American Pop

More and more, it is understood that you can’t tell the story of American popular music without Glen Campbell.

Interesting to hear Debby Campbell talking to the BBC about her latest book, Glen Campbell - Life With My Father.

arlw, agreed, that was a well-researched article written by Pamela Yip, and I am impressed that Dallas Morning News had the foresight to post Pamela's article in the business section of the newspaper rather than the "entertainment" section (as many publications do).
I am sorry for your losses to this terrible disease and pray that both preventative treatments and a cure are found...soon. It is becoming an epidemic as we baby boomers all age.

Kim and Ashley Campbell seem to be doing a little tour of Texas. Here's an article from the Hourston Chronicle, including an interview with Kim and Ashley.
Note, this is a subscription-only article. However, sometimes you are granted a free access to this article. So, give it a try... :)

Ashley, who played keyboard and banjo, said that in the early going, she wanted to crawl under her keyboard when her dad made mistakes during performances.

"Then I realized the audience loved him no matter what, and it wasn't my fault, and no one thought it was. If something did go wrong, I just tried to help him get back on track."

That was an important lesson to learn, Kim Campbell said. The family realized early on that they couldn't change Campbell or repair him. Instead, they had to laugh with him and accept him the way he was.

Pamela Yip,
Thanks for writing that and for Dee to post it! Glen's article with Kim is on the front page of the Business section of "The Dallas Morning News" from today-2-16-2015. It also continues within that section on another page and they put a picture up there of Glen and Kim. Nice article-I saw her on the news this past weekend-in Fort Worth which is about 50 miles from me! "Wish I Was There".........The awareness of this article was very well done. So many people with Dementia and then the Alzheimer's that sets in is very devastating to all....I had a dear friend who we met when we moved here to the Dallas area 40 years ago. She ended up in an assisted living place but lived to be 103! My uncle in Florida also had this for about 10 years-he passed at 82.

Everyone is different and depending on other health issues will determine how long they actually can go on. I am optimistic and still hoping fro a breakthrough!!!
