If you were a kid in the 70's, you had at least a couple of their 8 tracks...Cory had great range.

A #1 hit for them Turn up the volume

(both songs written by Hoyt Axton...an Okie)

That is sad news arlw,
I only ever saw them on the youtube clips on the Glen Campbell show. That was when they were in their prime. They still get some radio play in the UK on BBC radio 2.

Cory Wells from Three Dog Night

Post by arlw »

Cory Wells, Three Dog Night singer, dies in New York at 74....Since this group was on the Goodtime Hour many times, thought I would post this. Just heard it on the news-not sure what happened but he has been ill for a while. Wells' death comes seven months after longtime keyboard player Jimmy Greenspoon died of cancer--so I guess 2 of them from this band are gone. Jimmy was only 67!!! What a shame. Very talented musicians and singers too.

Cory Wells is survived by his wife Mary Wells--(no relation to the other Mary Wells)!!!!-that one has already passed....
