Hi, Rob,

Glen's official website still has the "See You There" picture disc for $20, if the purchase you made doesn't pan out.

See: http://www.surfdog.com/product/glen-cam ... pre-order/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Your collection's display sounds very interesting! If you would like to post photos of it, just send me picture files to post for you!

I purchased my picture disc of SYT this morning through a third party seller, I didn't want to wait and risk receiving an update amazon prime is out of stock, I'm still on their waiting list, I may save and buy duplicates to frame and display in dual corners of my room.

My Glen Campbell shrine is a small shelf, in a V-shaped formation.

To the left is a laminated color zerox of the Live in South Dakota CD, with an original autograph on the fret board that Campbell signed for a fan in Florida and later sold to me, Dee has a copy I sent for her personal collection.

Just below the autograph is a snow globe of the Capitol Bldg, we purchased in Hollywood the other year.

Next to that is the American Treasure with a battery operated candle staged directly underneath it to pick up the light and make the belt buckle and starburst swirl and glow at night, it is at the center of attention while I am relaxing, flickering and glittering softly, gently and safe!

How many people who bought and own Glen Campbell American Treasure can say their starburst belt buckle glows and shimmers for them every night... I must admit, the makers really knew how to top themselves with that little firecracker of a box set, thank you, Surfdog Label. hmm...

Next to that is a picture of me crouched in front of the Jimi Hendrix memorial at the park close by where my wife grew up, it used to be an unmarked grave but has elevated in status.

My picture ties into the next object, the Jimmy Webb autographed CD dedicated to me that Dee got for me and arranged at a club in Nashville that she drove to and met Webb, that's the big tie-in, my picture next to a CD with my name signed by Webb in yes, legible personal handwriting, gulp, wheeze, gee and thank you, Miss Dee, whew* WOW!!!!!!!!!!

gulp, again...

To the side of Webb at an angle is the Glen Campbell Capitol box set with the fabulous b/w studio photo, this is a big part of the shrine, to have a picture of Webb posing in front of a classic red mustang next to Campbell working and taking a break in the studio for a pic, the two inextricably linked forever and wired for greatness, sitting at home next to me, always by my side.

In the center is the paperback movie tie-in that I learned about here for Norwood, in the early 70's when I was only 11 and 12 I used to buy all the paperback movie tie-ins and in my fifties work to hunt down and buy them back, I never got to see or hold Norwood until now, and it is one of the main books in my collection a real treasure trove from that era, thank you, again!

Resting on top of the paperback is another big tie-in, the cardboard mailer announcing James Keach and The Campbell's will be in town to screen and discuss I'll Be Me, I received the mailer as an added bonus from a gentleman on Craig's list when he was out of town and sold us his tickets, oh,my what an event to view. I wrote down what it was like so I wouldn't forget, a very important moment for me, considering the circumstances surrounding how I lost my father, some healing taking place by the Campbell's opening up and sharing their heart.

That leaves my vinyl edition of Glen Campbell Ghost On The Canvas to fill up the other half or right side, it stands alone as a testament and keeps a watchful eye over the rest of the shrine, I have a mini flashlight I set on dim to illuminate it and give off quite a glow, spotlight on my all time number one favorite album.

The picture discs here will most likely go up on the wall near the top of the door, as a silent vigil on Campbell's lasting legacy.

Above Campbell's shelf are my five Rhino Monkees box sets, a tribute to them and The Wrecking Crew, a big part of my life, it's all connected, sharing the legacy~

Be true to your heart and kind to others. The world is constantly growing.

Keep watching and listening.

Love,
Rob

I, uh, spent the other night on the Surfdog official website, a sales price for the the Ghost On The Canvas picture disc appears to have fallen off the radar, See You There is around 80.

You mentioned amazon.com here, I managed to purchase a GOTC picture disc with download card for 20 plus 4 dollars S+H through amazon prime, I am also on a waiting list for See You There, although there are sellers moving it unopened for around 17 to 18 plus 4 dollars S+H.

I wanted to buy directly through amazon so I would in their records and numbers for direct sales, a fan for life.

I will probably frame them and display them in my sitting room, the room I grew up in and listened to all of Glen Campbell's first albums up to Try A Little Tenderness.

I will be thinking of you when I study and admire the picture disc display.

I also purchased today, the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour DVD featuring two complete episodes with Buck and Merle.

My wife and I got to see Merle perform the last two times he was in town, we were in our mid fifties when we see our first casino show, Merle was the second and last time we went to a casino show,

Its nice to learn Glen Campbell kept appearing on Merle's album and has genuine feelings for Merle and Bonnie after Campbell's solo career took off.

Loyalties ought to run high in the trade as the wealth of talent on Ghost On The Canvas attests.

Thank you, for the head's up.

The legacy continues.

Love,
Rob

Campbell trivia on the "Ghosts On The Canvas" picture disc!

Forums friend, Hair, purchased two copies of the "Ghost On The Canvas" picture disc and noticed a difference in the size and placement of the "fine print" on the back of the "Ghost On The Canvas" picture disc. Hair asked other fans how the print appeared on their discs; some fans reported this difference, too. (Similar to postage stamp collecting, as an example, a collector and fan always hopes to have a "one of a kind"! Sorry, Hair--but very observant of you! :))

According to a friend of mine, Mike, who is "in the record biz", this picture disc "could've been pressed at 2 different plants to make sure they were released on time. Not all plants use the same machines, so something like this could easily happen! Surfdog is distributed by Universal Music now and UMe has a lot of vinyl pressed out of the Czech Republic. They've recently started pressing and, overall, their albums sound absolutely fantastic...." Mike did add later that the plant in the Czech Republic usually places a sticker identifying its plant on the back of an LP's sleeve/cover. (In this case, we haven't discovered one with a Czech Republic sticker.)

See photo below of the two different "Ghost" discs that I received from two different sources. The "See You There" discs, also pictured, were purchased from two different stores and are the same in appearance.

Have readers here noticed any differences on the "See You There" discs?

Hi, fans! A long-time fan and serious collector of ALL THINGS GLEN, "arlw", whom many of you already know as a major contributor to the forums here, shares photos of Glen Campbell picture discs in her private collection! These discs--LP and CD--are on display in her beautiful "HALL OF GLEN" (at home)! Thanks for sharing your photos, Ar!

You'll see that the newest picture discs, GHOST ON THE CANVAS and SEE YOU THERE are already part of her display. Ar framed these limited editions in front-loaded, glass frames. (She recommends not keeping picture discs in the manufacturer's plastic sleeves--framing provides even better protection.)

Ar, please let me know if I didn't post your photos in the right date order.

Thanks again for sharing! I can't wait until the "Hall of Glen" opens to the public. When it does open, we want to see you wearing the autographed white Rhinestone Cowboy hat! :)

Dee,
I bought 2 frames...one for each picture disc. Had a hard time deciding on how to frame them only because they have Glens pics on one side and Glen and the tracks on the other side! Because they only display 1 side, I chose the TITLE side on each one. Will hang them soon. I love them and I think surf dog did a great job.

Happy for you, Ar!
We would love to see how you framed your double-imaged discs, if you don't mind sending me a picture when you have time.
Thanks so much for confirming that these LPs are 180g!

Like A Rhinestone Cowboy!!! Got BOTH picture discs and already have them secured in a frame! Also got that Ballads and Bluegrass CD too. That DVD of Glen will come once it is released. Awesome day--I am proud to own these picture discs and hesitated a bit as I already have the LP/CD format, but having them in a PICTURE DISC FORMAT, and Limited Editions, make it even more valuable and personal to a collector like me. Hope you all ordered a copy as once these are gone, there will be no more.

Dee,
I am getting MY picture discs tomorrow! In answer to your question about the grade of vinyl-- It IS 180 grams! Ain't life grand!

By the way, regarding the picture discs and needles! No matter how good your stereo system is, I wouldn't play it either! These are really a work of art and credit to Surf Dog and all responsible for releasing this great format. I can't wait to get a frame for these!!!
