I would say no. However, I think some of the tracks have not been released on an actual CD but as a digital download. There are no rare previously unreleased tracks on there. However, the photos, the text and the recording/session information per tracks are top of the bill.

Is there anything in the Legacy (1961-2002) box set that is rare to find on CD?
Thanks

It has been a team effort!

You have helped me A LOT alll of you have with tracking down Glen Campbell's albums, singles and compilations with rare single and previously unreleased material!

I pretty much got all the reissued albums tracked down but its gonna be much tougher to get the singles and compilations with rare material. Well at least it is fun to try to track these goodies down!

Today was the first day that I saw an original vinyl Lp for sale in this case eBay for The Big Bad Rock Guitar Of Glen Campbell, it was in a lot of around 20 other of his Lp's for a buy now $99.00

I did call up Japan amazon and found the CD for sale.

Maybe now that there is an official compact disc version, out print versions of the vinyll album will start showing up more often again...

It would be nice to hold the Lp in my hands.

Someday~

Thank you, for the link to Malibu Sunset!

It was very exciting to discover and experience, I appreciate that I learned about it here.

My son will want to hear it.

Your YouTube says that it was from an acetate, very, very exciting.

You can feel Murray's influence, that is Brian's dad in the song structure and arrangement.

And the vocals, the male lead and fermale accompaniment, it really is one of the first times I felt what it must've liked to be in the same room when Brian was handing out parts for his family to sing standing around their piano.

And yeah, the legend goes, Glen Campbell went on the road with The Beach Boys to sing and play Brian's part so Brian could spend more time producing.

That's why there is probably so little information, the jealousies, could prove to be counter effective, I mean, C'mon!

So yeah, Malibu Sunset is pure Brian, and Glen got to do the vocal duties, I think that you really uncovered an undisclosed gem and love letter to the warm quiet California nights and inviting waterfront.

Pure spirit*

SONG

Old English sang, of Germanic origin; related to Dutch zang and German Sang, also to sing.

INSTRUMENTAL

late 14c., "of the nature of an instrument," from Old French instrumental, from Medieval Latin instrumentalis, from Latin instrumentum (see instrument). Meaning "serviceable, useful" is from c.1600. Of music, c.1500; noun meaning "musical composition for instruments only" is attested by 1940.
