Re: Remembering Glen Campbell
I've seen alot of beautiful heartfelt tribute songs done for Glen, but this and when they did it on the CMA's is hauntily so powerful that if they ever and hopefully they will do a movie on Glen's life , I sure hope they include this beautiful tribute.
Thanks Cowpoke for uploading this link!

Somehow I missed this when it was published... but it's heartwarming to read all these comments by all these great artists.

Re: Remembering Glen Campbell
Glen Campbell remains a mysterious figure in pop music, and the mystery only deepens when you pause to consider how well you know his recordings. Every pop, country, folk, soul and rock fan can hum his famous late-’60s records, most of them written by pop genius Jimmy Webb.
Quotes from a well-written in memoriam...In other words, Campbell was a pop artist of a very pure kind. There’s no Glen Campbell aesthetic other than the aesthetic of being very good at what he did.

Interesting and well written article on how a singer from the south made a lasting impression on a boy from the north.

You can listen to "Sand" on Nancy's website or here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGfD2j9M1dAIn 1966, Glen made history with Nancy on her How Does That Grab You? LP. He played the psychedelic electric guitar solo on Nancy & Lee’s initial duet, “Sand,” the first record to incorporate a backwards guitar effect.
