Fellow Oklahoma natives Toby Keith, Hanson and B.J. Thomas; musical luminaries like Judy Collins, Art Garfunkel, Amy Grant, Graham Nash, Johnny Rivers and Dwight Yoakam; and Oscar-winning actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones paid homage to legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb Wednesday night at New York's Carnegie Hall.

Check out the other videos, too, on the same YouTube Channel (Stephen Hurtes). The audio is poor on some vids, but the one posted below (not in the article) is sublime: the great Judy Collins!
Catherine Zeta-Jones performed an amazing "Didn't We"!
Ashley Campbell performed "You Might As Well Smile" (I couldn't locate a video of her performance; can you?)

Jimmy Webb participated in an on-stage presentation held at the Country Music Hall of Fame!! This presentation was filmed for the museum's songwriter archives and is available (for a short time) on Live Stream. JW speaks at length about his collaborations with Glen Campbell. Clips of Glen are shown during the show.
Kim Campbell was in attendance and received a round of applause.

Watch the Live Stream (repeat) here: http://countrymusichalloffame.org/Conte ... QWO5xPyuUk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(The video takes a few seconds for the audio to start.)

Super insightful article about the origins of "Galveston" and "Highwayman", popular topics here on Glen Campbell Forums.
This article is a year old but popped up in my press feed this week. I believe a fan recently posted here asking if JW had traveled to Galveston early in his life. Here's your answer from Mr. Webb himself!
“JIMMY WEBB: I was always fascinated with the Gulf, and I got a chance to see the big water a couple of times with my dad,” he says. “I used to do evangelical stuff; go out and do revivals and stuff with my dad, so I got to see the water and the big boats and everything. I always remembered that, so when I started writing this song, I wanted to write a song about a blue-collar guy. My hero is just a regular guy, and that’s the guy I write about most of the time.”

JIMMY WEBB: In examining my memory, I realized that my story intersected some of the important events that happened in the 1960s in a very definite and almost spooky way. I thought this might be a thread that would make a book,” he explained.
