One of the best articles and links I've read this year. Simply an outstanding article for filling in the gaps/back story about so much of Jimmy Webb's music and Glen's (and others) coverings of these Suzy inspired songs.......

I was listening to this album today on this link and I really felt choked up. I think the reviewers have got it spot on when they say after the first album it might have felt like this might be a collection of lower standard songs but in fact this is as good if not better. I just love it.

I had not read this interview with Jimmy before, about this new album. Very interesting.

With 6 out of the 14 tracks on the latest Jimmy Webb Album covered by Glen in the past, this Album almost seems like a tribute of some kind to Glen.

The Dallas Morning News today in the Arts and Life section, there is a great picture and article of Jimmy Webb's Concert Review. It is entitled, Jimmy Webb Show Was Great, That's All I Know." He starts by how he grew up in Oklahoma and then in the 60's Glen Campbell is credited by singing ALL the GREAT HITs he made! Being that he is 10 years younger than Glen- they stated that "Jim at 67 had trouble reaching the highest notes, but can still play a mean piano." It is a great article if you can get into the Dallas Morning News as his new CD is also out and he speaks about Linda Ronstadt and he chose her to sing with him on this CD as this might be HER last hurrah as she is battling Parkinson's Disease and can no longer sing.

The wonderful Dee, was kind enough to send me this link, I couldn't go to bed till I had listened to the first 7 tracks as I wanted to hear "The moon's a harsh mistress". The album took my breath away.
I think Jimmy's voice has improved over the years and I could feel the emotion in every word he sang. I will be listening to the rest of the album tonight.
Life doesn't get much better than this.

Here you can listen to the tracks of Jimmy's upcoming album. Sounds very promising! 6 out of 14 were recorded by Glen.
