Jay:

The owner wrote a long memo to me, saying that this guitar is in mint condition--no issues-- except the two small cracks (one at 6 and the other at 8 o'clock)

As always, Jay, you have a succinct and awesome response!!! There is an interesting model for sale on Reverb.com now. I was advised to stay away. But it is beautiful

Karl,
Pretty easy question...
The GC 12's were Model's 8, 1118, 1618 (the acoustic/electric 1118)
They were all slot heads.
The last GC 12 was produced in the early 80s.
Yes, all 12 fretters.
A pain? Twice as painful as restringing your 6.
Very Full and projecting sound.

Glen Campbell 12-strings

Post by kvalois »

Hi, everyone:

I have several questions about the Glen Campbell 12-string models:

a) Do they all come in "slotted" head stocks?
b) If so, I hear that they a "pain" to re-string. Is that true?
c) Do they all have only 12 frets?
d) in terms of sound, how are they?

Thanks, Karl
