Although he was 300-plus miles away in a Nashville facility, country star Glen Campbell's presence was felt when about 25 of his relatives recently gathered with 225 others for the dedication of a new Alzheimer's and dementia care center, Memory Care of Little Rock at Good Shepherd.

On December 17th, the Memory Care of Little Rock at Good Shepherd not only opened its doors for the first time, it also dedicated an entire art gallery to the legendary Glen Campbell. The photo above is of a newly-commissioned painting created by artist Stephano for the gallery.

See KATV's video coverage and the event's photo gallery. The video has a short segment with Kim Campbell speaking and Glen Campbell's sisters singing:

Campbell's wife to talk at opening

An excerpt from Arkansas Democrat-Gazette: Web Edition Articles (Little Rock, AR) - November 22, 2015
Author/Byline: Linda Haymes Column: Paper Trails
Kim Campbell, wife of Delight native and Country Music Hall of Fame member Glen Campbell, will join in next month's opening of Memory Care of Little Rock on the Good Shepherd campus. The 74-bed Alzheimer's and dementia-care facility will be dedicated at 11 a.m. Dec. 17.

Campbell will talk about her husband's Alzheimer's and how it has affected their family. She also will discuss the role that art -- both musical and visual -- has played throughout his illness.

The dedication will include the facility's Glen Campbell Art Gallery, and feature the unveiling of a special piece of art that will be the gallery's center point. The gallery will feature artwork by residents and Arkansas artists who work with the center's art therapy program.
