Uniting Communities for a Cure
Washington, DC, September 24-26, 2018

EVENT ALERT: THE NATIONAL ALZHEIMER'S SUMMIT 2018
will be held for three consecutive days in America's capitol city, bring(ing). . .
". . .together the very best minds in Alzheimer’s and dementia research and policy. Leaders and advocates from diverse communities impacted by the disease will work together to develop a clear agenda for action. The National Alzheimer’s Summit will highlight efforts to identify common goals, link partners, and unite communities in the fight against Alzheimer’s. UsAgainstAlzheimer’s (the non-profit summit organizer) is dedicated to building a collaborative framework to catalyze the large-scale change needed to stop Alzheimer’s and ensure a brain healthy future for all communities.
Summit Themes

Developing a Culture of Brain Health - This track will focus on the need to reimagine our healthcare system to address Alzheimer’s, promote, and drive adoption of brain healthy habits among all Americans.

Innovation and Longevity - This track will explore the role of innovative models, digital technology, and data in understanding patient preferences and connecting communities to resources, research and quality care.

The Future Face of Alzheimer’s and Caregiving - This track will explore trends in demographics and how they will impact our ability to address Alzheimer’s in an increasingly multicultural and intergenerational society.
The centerpiece of the Summit, the Trish Vradenburg Out of the Shadows Dinner to be held on September 25th, is a powerful evening of inspiration and action. This gala dinner brings together more than 500 guests and honors those who have had the most impact on the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

Previous high profile honorees and guest speakers have included:

Former First Lady Laura Bush, Maria Shriver, author and restaurateur B. Smith, activist Kim Campbell — wife of country music legend Glen Campbell, actress Lauren Miller Rogen, and more.
