Didn't think of the holiday songs! That's right!

Rock-A-Doodle came to mind today. I think this CD is hard to find.

I don't suppose "You better sit down kids" counts. The only thing I can think of is the Christmas albums. Frosty the snowman etc.

Have fun playing, Mike!

It's interesting that two children's songs of Glen's were posted about recently ... the one from Sesame Street that brings a smile to you and this Disney one. I wonder if Glen sang any other children's songs?

Thanks for the reminder of that song Dee. I have just ordered a copy from Amazon UK which will post from USA. I can't wait for it to arrive. I'm off to play outside now, at a local folk club.LOL

Hi, Elusive Butterfly,
You are welcome!
I just had opportunity to check the amazon website in the UK, and they also sell this CD -- which is surprising to me because it was released way back in 1992.
Since you enjoy learning about the more obscure recordings of Glen, you will enjoy these forums. This is where I learned the most about Glen's recordings--and am still learning!
By the way, I am planning on a new topic for next month with regard to holiday music and Glen's RARE holiday recordings. For example, there is a fun duet by Glen and Buck Owens titled "Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy" from a 1997 compilation album! More details to come! :)

Dee. Thanks a lot for answering my question on Glen's "I Love To Play Outside". I'll very much concider buying a copy on Amazon. I never heard it before you introduced me to it. And I don't believe that many other fans are familiar with this brilliant song. Thank you my friend. Elusive Butterfly.

Welcome Elusive Butterfly! Thank you so much for posting and for your great question about a somewhat unknown song of Glen's!

The song, "I Love to Play Outside", sung by Glen Campbell, is from "Disney Country Music for Kids", a CD/cassette that was released by The Walt Disney Company in 1992. Multiple artists appear on this CD, which is still available for purchase on the U.S. Amazon.com site as well as ebay from time to time. (http://www.amazon.com/Country-Music-Mar ... 630242903X" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) I Love to Play Outside is the only track that is performed by Glen.

Here is a great review by Entertainment Weekly of this CD from June 12, 1992:

Please let me know if you can't access this review and/or if you would like for me to provide the lyrics to this really sweet and upbeat song.

Dee :)

Searching for a special song.

Dee. You so kindly introduced me to a lovely song, Glen did for some Walt Disney for kids production "I Love To Play Outside". I love it. But I can't seem to find it on Youtube or anywhere else. Can you tell me a bit about, in what way and possibly what show it was used? Thank you.
