Hi BobbieG!

Thanks so much for posting Capitol Records' press photos of Glen Campbell and Bobbie Gentry in Hollywood. Nice to see both shots together. I don't know if these photos were taken around the time when their duets album was released? I will be able to verify the year for the one photo because it was published in Capitol Records' last big anniversary book.

Wasn't there another duets album on the Capitol label in the works? Cowpoke or arlw may know....

Many thanks for correcting the Historical Archives' song title for "Okolona River Bottom Band" and also for your reminder about Bobbie Gentry's website. I checked out the website; it is extremely well-done. Hopefully, Bobbie is aware that her music continues to have a following by fans.

Hi Dee2....I noticed hon that the Goodtime Hour video misnamed Ms. Gentry's song that she performed on Mr. Campbell's Goodtime Hour show. It is actually named Okolona River Bottom Band (not Oklahoma). The names are very easy to confuse, aren't they?

Also, for fans like myself, I wanted to share that Bobbie Gentry's best ever website [[managed in the U.K.]] continues to expand and is a lovely site,,,,with many Glen Campbell photos,,,,also the site put up a warm tribute to Mr. Campbell after he passed.

The site is set up here -- http://bobbiegentry.org.uk/

A friend and I have contributed some pictures of our memorabilia now up on the Gallery tab ,,,,,,,,http://bobbiegentry.org.uk/gallery/

,,,,,,,,and in the Gallery mouse click on each of the picture boxes to open up Memorabilia, Television Appearances and so much more.

Thank you. ♥

Bobbie Gentry: it was the 3rd of June

An Ode to Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billie Joe"
"It was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day."

Did you know that Bobbie Gentry would not even tell Glen Campbell what Billie Joe McAllister threw off the Tallahatchie Bridge? True story as told by Glen!
