Hollywood Music in Media Awards: Gregg Alexander Performs, Glen Campbell Feted

This awards event was held at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014. Trevor Albert accepted the award on Glen Campbell's behalf.

Glen Campbell to get lifetime achievement award
Glen Campbell to be honored with lifetime achievement award at Hollywood Music in Media Awards next month.

Glen Campbell is being honoured with the lifetime achievement award at the 5th Annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards, set for November 4 at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Campbell recently released his final recording, I’m Not Gonna Miss You, for the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me, which chronicles the music legend’s struggles with Alzheimer’s.
With a career that spans nearly five decades, Campbell — known for ‘60s and ‘70s hits such as Gentle on My Mind, Galveston and Rhinestone Cowboy — is being recognised for his contribution to the music industry.
He is considered the first country music star to cross over to the pop charts. A legendary guitar player, Campbell is featured on classic albums such as The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds and Frank Sinatra’s Strangers in the Night.
He has released more than 70 albums and sold more than 45 million records. The Hollywood Music in Media Awards highlights the best music in film, TV and video games. —hollywoodreporter.com

That's wonderful news for Glen and his family. Its like many things for Glen, long over due but richly deserved none the less.

I wonder if this will lead to Glen receiving some kind of Honor at the American Music Awards in the near future, afterall he did Host/co-host it at least (3) times.
