<<Any resources for maintenance on the tuners>>

If you need a tuner replacement...just keep your eyes open...they are available on the secondary market from time to time on reverb and ebay.

Or give Al a ring at www.LostArtVintage.com He may have some stuck back in a drawer somewhere.

Nice find G-man!!!
My first Ovation was a Balladeer that had a crack below the bridge, just like that. Still is a sweet guitar and is an acoustic cannon.

yep...I would run it through a couple of weeks of humidifying. I would then probably let a luthier take a look at it after that and get his opinion of cleating those cracks.

Are they the Gold Schallers? I think they were factory sealed. Check your PM.

I have a few Ovations, but picked this up cheap when I saw it at a Pawn Shop.It has some cracks in the top, common on these, but doesn't affect playability. It needs a lot of TLC, but I got it cheap with the case!

Looks to be from 1976.

Can't wait to get her cleaned up and playing. The fretboard was just filthy, but cleaned up nicely.

Letting her acclimate to the humidity before working on it.

Any resources for maintenance on the tuners? Some have tight spots, not sure how to service these.
