I'm sure this may have been addressed but curious why Glen didn't perform Galveston & Wichita Lineman on the New Jersey live album.

I recently replaced my vehicle, so I now had a DAB radio. I was delighted to find 2 country radio stations which I cold not get before. Virtually everyday Glen is played. I even heard Dock of the bay, which I don't think I have heard on the radio since the Seventies. It really takes me back to when Glen was king of the airwaves and is a great treat when I am driving about. It's like I'm 23 again.

Two years have passed since Glen left this world for A Better Place...
May he long be remembered.

Tribute to Glen Campbell sung by former American former football quarterback Terry Bradshaw at The Opry.
In 1996 Terry and Glen recorded a duet together ("You Never Know Just How Good You've Got It") so they surely knew each other!

So true Jay when Glen sang you felt it. Lately I've been watching the BBC doc and love the Carol Kaye comments and Jerry Fuller saying "There's a certain honesty about Glen's rendition of all the songs he's recorded, it's like he lived it, and I to this day wonder if the guy ever did leave Phoenix"

Good morning Bonnie!
Gosh, there are so many songs that Glen did that were better than the folks that get credit for them. Glen could put feeling in his voice...which changed the scope of delivery. You FELT those songs by J. Webb. Jimmy has to be very thankful Glen knew a good song (for him) when he came across it. I think that Glen was able to express, vocally, the way Jimmy felt when he wrote the songs.
The songs on Meet Glen Campbell are another example of ... he just could own a song he liked in his delivery.
I am sure you saw this...but if you didn't, I enjoyed the video....

Thanks for your reply, Jay. I tuned in to the oldies station Monday evening, which had been paying tribute to Glen on his birthday throughout the day. I was able to hear a few of his songs. At the end of the day, I switched back to my usual talk radio station. The host was wrapping up her show, mentioning and thanking the guests she'd had on her show that night. I was quite surprised to hear her thank Jimmy Webb for joining her by phone, and disappointed that I'd missed it! But there is a podcast of every show posted within a few hours, so this morning I was able to listen to her visit with Jimmy. They spent several minutes at the beginning of the interview talking about Glen, but his birthday was not mentioned. If I'd been listening live, I would have called in to point that out! Jimmy is going to be in concert in this area this weekend, so he was promoting that, and I guess it was just a coincidece that he was on the show on Glen's birthday. I felt lucky that I happened upon it. Jimmy has had a great career, and there are many videos on YouTube of Glen singing Jimmy's songs, and Glen often referred to Jimmy as one of America's finest poets. Glen and Jimmy had a lot of respect for one another's talent. There was nothing better than Glen singing a Jimmy Webb song.

Thanks, Bonnie for dropping in. Yes, it was a pretty melancholy day, with all the pictures of Glen on Facebook and one song leading to another. It does my heart good to know that he is still remembered!
