"More than just a career retrospective, See You There is a celebration of Glen Campbell."

The new album keeps getting wonderful and meaningful reviews. I think this one might be the best one I have read so far (it's combined with a review of Jimmy Webb's latest release).

And I like what this review...

http://popshifter.com/2013-09-10/music- ... you-there/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

...says about WIWG (What I Wouldn't Give):
“What I Wouldn’t Give” wouldn’t be out place on the soundtrack to a David Lynch movie, with handclaps and melty guitar. Slow-burning and striving, his last sung “I’ll see you again” is resolute and hopeful. It’s a lesson on how to sell a line—by actually believing it.

New review, from Glide magazine.

http://www.glidemagazine.com/39785/glen ... you-there/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"No surprise, the highlight of See you There is “Rhinestone Cowboy.” Gone is the original’s over the top orchestration. And with this, the force of Campbell’s voice simply accompanied by an electric guitar is almost more impressive as the original and in some ways more emotional."

And another review. I'm glad the album is still getting media attention. It deserves it.

Yes, that's the one I meant Arlw.

Here's a negative review of SYT, by a blogger.

Cowpoke,
On that Rhinestone Cowboy CD, it might be the one that was released last year in a metal tin. The tin is green and Glen is wearing a white shirt. They are still around for 6 to 10.00! There are so many with that title!

The SEE YOU THERE is available in the Dallas area for 9.99 at Super Walmarts.

Well Liljan most of the albums you name are all fairly recent releases (on CD that is). Only Glen Campbell Platinum is a little older. I'm curious to know what IS on the cover of that Rhinestone Cowboy album. Glen in a white suite with a green background perhaps?

Thanx Lulu, I will check that out. So I said I would post the CDs that I saw and bought while I was at Music Millenium. They price SYT for $13.00 but I was gonna check out Walmart, Target, and now Best Buy because it was cheaper. But I did buy these CDs that I never knew about, they are Rhinestone Cowboy (I bought two and they do NOT have the picture of Glen riding a horse on the cover), Glen Campbell Icon, Glen Campbell Live in Japan, Glen Campbell and Jimmy Webb, Glen Campbell The Inspirational Collection, The Best of Glen Campbell, a Glen Campbell 3 disc set that includes I Knew Jesus, Glen Travis Campbell, and I Remember Hank Williams CDs, and Glen Campbell Platinum. Am I the only one who did not know that these CDs existed (except for GC and JW, I Knew Jesus, and I Remember Hank Williams)?
