David Nail on the Glen Campbell Song That Shaped His Sound
“Country Boy (You Got Your Feet In LA) was a song that I heard at the perfect time,” Nail says. “It was absolute every emotion I was feeling at the time. I had already fell in love with Glen Campbell, and this was a result of completely immersing myself in his music.”

Big turn out for launch of Marty Whelan’s memoir
The Irish Times

New book, That's Life, could be a good read:
In the memoir, Whelan said he took inspiration from songs “that have had meaning” for him as he explores the themes of his life through Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Glen Campbell, Paul McCartney, the Three Degrees, Frank Sinatra and Madama Butterfly.

Thank you for sharing those video links, Randy.
It's touching and beautiful to watch the video of Gary performing in the hospital for a fan who passed away two days later. Shows a lot about Gary's character and spirituality as a person.
Jim and Gary sound good together.
I hadn't watched those Ralph Emery shows previously and these programs were a treat to listen to.
Wish I could turn the clock back to 20 or 25 years ago; there were so many artists that I overlooked or just took for granted!
For example, I only recently discovered The Carter Family, can you believe that?

Elusive Butterfly, thanks so much for your interesting posts. I really enjoyed reading your write-up about country music, American and Danish, and also Glen's philosophy for a good song.
Who are some of the popular Danish country artists now?
I wonder why Danish artists haven't been recognized in the U.S. (not that I know of, maybe some are known here?) in comparison to the popularity of British music with Americans?
