50 Years Ago: Glen Campbell Makes First Appearance With the Beach Boys
Fifty years ago today (Dec. 24, 1964) was an unforgettable day for Glen Campbell. It was on this day that the country crooner made his debut appearance with the Beach Boys, filling in for an ailing Brian Wilson at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, Texas.
Is there a music artist, Glen Campbell, in the U.K.?
Could Larry King have been referring to a different GC? No, I don't think so. I googled Shawn King's name and found that she has recorded duets with Willie Nelson and Glen Campbell according to a Wikipedia bio. But when would this recording have occurred?

Her first or prior album has a strong Carl Jackson connection!

Very interesting!

I am not sure what to make of this, but in this recent interview with Larry King...
My father-in-law was the A&R man at Capitol Records years ago. And he was telling me how changed everything is. My wife’s recording this song that’s coming out next year... This is a great story. Paul McCartney was at my house playing piano. And he told her—she’s a terrific singer—to record, “I Will.” And she recorded another Beatles song with Glen Campbell, and David Foster produced it, and it’ll be out next year. It’s an incredible duet. I love the way music blends together.
